Stolen Royalties (2016 to present)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I self-published my book: A Spiritual Dog "Bear" with them in October, 2016 and was never paid my Royalties. I am trying to find a way to remove my book from all websites and have legal actions with charges brought against Litfire-Amelia Publishing Company. I need to be paid all Royalties due since 10/15/2016. They need legally to be put in jail and charged with Grand Theft.

They scam me.

I plan to pursue this company and get everything they owe me. They took my book and is selling online everywhere collecting all my royalties. Please if you are considering this company my advice run, run, run! They have made it impossible to contact them and they have a address that is not where they are located. Sooner or later they will be dealt with , and then they were going to wish they had done the right thing. I pray every day they get what is coming to them. This disgusting publishing company need to go out of business. D

Royalties concern

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
First and foremost, Litfire and Amelia Publishing are the same company! They took my money, published my book, which is making them a profit! It has been 4 months since it has been published and no royalties. I have many friends that have bought my books, even including myself have bought several. They said they were getting all the royalties report together, it has been over a month! I call and no answer! I have email them so many times and no return email! They have ripped me off, I am so disgusted! I was ripped off by Tate publishing and now Litfire and Amelia Publishing! email

Holding royalties, even after 3 years..

My books were published over 3 years ago... still no royalties?? Crazy?? And yet, I know quite a few people who have ordered my books! Litfire will no longer communicate with me. We should enforce Amazon, Barns and Noble, plus other booksellers to send the authors a quarterly statement of how many books were sold. By doing us a favor, we would know if our publishers ate being honest and sending us our correct royalty checks !!!!

My last royalty payment was on 02/09/19 for the last 2 quarters of 2018. Since, I have no heard on thing from them, even though I know about purchases. My calls are not returned, my e-mails are not answered. Lately, messages are not going through on their Website. It is also impossible to verify any sale that are made through Amazon and others. This is a scam!

Why I am pissed

I cannot get my royalty checks. They said they pay through PayPay. I have an account with them. No money was ever sent to me through Pay Pal. I finally earned a royalty check for 4th qtr. 2019. I still have not received it.

Do not use these "self-publishing" crooks. They do not report all sales and are therefore screwing their authors.

Do not report sales of authors' books

So sorry to hear of this...and I totally believe it. I have my own horror story with them.

These self-publishing companies just prove, for the overwhelming most part, that authors and consumers have little to no recourse. So-called consumer laws and regulations have little to no bite. Only answer...publish yourself literally.

Hire out any extra needs. Or Amazon seems to be viable alternative

Terrible and robbed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I published my book with this over a year ago and they promised they didn't take a percentage form my royalties and they did first then my book sold out on Amazon and I asked about it and was told they only printed 3 copies of my book and I sold out with only the three I then begin to contact Amazon about my sales and account with them they tell me they can't tell me anything about the sells referred me back to litfire I still haven't made any money according to their portal online that never works and that's never up to date ... While I was publishing my book 3 people from my team quite and resigned why and why wasn't I informed about the replacement .....

After that happened all my emails was tanted from them and I couldn't find specific ones .... I want a class action lawsuit because I was robbed and my work is being sold still .....

Purchased agreements recommended by Litfire in excess of$50,000 with no results.

Radio and TV interviews, Silver Screen, Book events...just to name a few. None to few sales. Company gets richer, and continue to recommend more plans. Many people are no longer with the company while my trust is gained by new staff agents.

Litfire Publishing called me around 5 months ago. Why the *** would any self publishing company do phone solicitation?

They claimed I contacted them before which I never did. Then they called me recently under the name GoToPublish. Fake names used by a phony company. Only in the United States could a company as dishonest and scammy as Litfire Publishing be legal.

They overcharge for everything too.

Save your money. This is as close to legalized fraud as u can get!!!

I agree with your comments concerning LitFire. They have charged me around $1500 US currency and have not sold one copy of my book in over one year since publication.

Writers Beware

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The persons in charge of my book kept quitting, so I had three different Publishing Fulfillment Officers. They were nice, but they obviously didn't like their job.

One quit after I had started editing my book. The person after her couldn't find the edited copy. So I had wasted my time editing.

Then I had a medical emergency which led to the discovery of metastatic cancer. For a while I tried to get a hold of the last Publishing Fulfillment Officer, but she would not answer my emails.

After I finished with chemo and radiation (which of course took months), I called Litfire many times. Not once did anyone answer the phone. They may be out of business. But in case they are still marketing, I want writers to know it is not safe to trust them!

It seems the only recourse is political, gov't consumer, action. And they never earn their overpaid salaries so good luck.

Having a class action suit may shut the company down eventually, but the only real benefactor is the attorney team collecting large sums while lawsuit participants get practically nothing. Another farce to have to deal with--my humble opinion based upon prior experience. Publish yourself--act on your own behalf. Make up a publishing name and do it all yourself, hiring out those in certain areas of expertise for lowside, competitive, discounted price.Get all the legalities done to protect the book's content and registeration...just like they do.

List it with all the booksellers. Whoever you may hire for anything, YOU are in control. YOU call the shots. YOU own your creation and book.

YOU are in charge of the whole thing. If you still want a partner in the venture, then perhaps consider Amazon or Ingram, and/or related. In this self-publishing world--even with some traditionals--its buyer beware X 10. Reading and being well aware of all these shortcomings and alleged rip-offs *** me off greatly.

I can related to so many other authors. Trust yourself FIRST and LAST.

That doesn't leave much, and what it is, is questionable. Challenge yourself to remain upbeat and positive.

Litfire Publishing - These guys are awesome

Best company ever I highly recommend to use it despite all "negative reviews online".My Novel is up and selling.:)

I don't know how they get my phone in first but I was excited when I get call from them.Later I found that my number was given to one book scout from one of my best friends Allan on one small book convention in San Francisco where we attend it.I call at my friend and he told me that to go for it.

I really was skeptic about this,I've read a lot of bad reviews online.

One of the positive reviews here from one clients give me a courage to step in this adventure.

I was prepare on anything because a lot of bad words were spoken online from persons as Ann Crispin and Victoria Strauss.

My friend Allan told the that those people are just pretending that are writers and behind their mask are just book scouts where seek young talents and earn money on them.

All come it that is true all bad comments for Lifire Publishing is not true guys. They are real company with a lot of staff and they know their job quite good.Just in 3 months my Novel was ready and online on market and started to selling on Amazon too.

Its no brainier to understand that there are people who are paid to harm someone business.

They scammed me in 2018 and there is no way to know how many books they sell of yours. How many royalties have they paid you? I would be very surprised if you have received any.

Guest

Your broken English makes you sound like one of the Filipino people Litfire has overseas.

Guest

You are a writer, man? Your writing (no offense) is horrible, which makes your review seem even less trustworthy.

If someone has to rant and rave for something, that tells me there is a problem.

I know there is one, and unfortunately I took the bait Litfire gave me last summer and now I have to live with that mistake. Cheers.

Guest

Thanks for your honest review. I was really in doubt to go with Litfire Publishing or not.

But after your review, I get in touch with them. Must say I was very surprised how I was accepted from them, how they understand what I need it.

In any way PRO. Highly recommend them for your new book.

Fake review, fake person. Ann Baller's review and the original comment above both show that these are fake because neither of them can write in proper English.

Lit fire is a total ripoff

I have tried, but to no avail. They promised all manner of marketing benefits but cannot even publish a book. If I can find enough other authors I will mount a class action suit against them. At this time, they keep calling to harass me. They start out by sounding reasonable but then keep changing their contact. I am going public to help other authors avoid my grief. Most of my books have been published by CreateSpace, who is legitimate but provides few services. Currently, I am using Book Baby, who is legitimate. I would be happy to communicate my experience to other authors.

I am a longtime journalist. LitFire will only call to sell you a package or upgrade, but falls miserably on every aspect of publishing.

I cannot say enough bad about this company, for lack of a better term. They published my book after 10 edits with both cover and text, only finally succeeding upon my push and insistence. Nearly all the people who were with them during my publishing are gone. My issues have not been resolved and they out-and-out lie.

They are incompetent on the highest levels. Now, my book is not even on their book store, and people can't order it through Amazon and Barnes and Noble because they say they can't get books. LitFire denies this and claims it is not true. Yet, 6-8 people from different states have tried to order it with same negative results.

They seldom if ever answer their phones, and if they rarely do, they don't return calls. My horror story with them goes on and on. All authors BEWARE! And they will always leave an excuse that it is just disgruntled authors disappointed in sales, whatever.

They assume NO responsibility, and are only in it for the upfront sale, or upgrades. In the last two weeks I have called no less than one dozen times, for times today alone, increasing the number. The only way to ever reach a department would be through Sales, cause that's all they care about. Or billing, secondarily.

They are (lying) sellers, upgraders and not performers.

This company needs to go to the attorney general in Georgia, the publishing industry at large, and all other consumer agencies. And yes, I would join in a class action suit, and give written testimony, as well as a personal appearance--I am that mad!

Blazho D

They will only call you if you shared your mobile with some officials in book industry or scouts. No one can take just like that your number and call it.Don't make any post that are not real and adequate on real situation with false allegation.
